As TechOps Engineer, you will be part of a small team managing both cloud and IT infrastructure globally. You will need to create automated solutions to help deliver value in both the provisioning of cloud resource and end user devices. This role requires a degree of flexibility on tooling and technology in order to meet business needs.
On the cloud infrastructure side of things, you will work closely with development teams to deliver application services 24/7 across multiple environments hosted around the globe. We work with containerised workloads using Kubernetes on Google Cloud to host all of the business platform.
On the IT side, the successful candidate will need to ensure that our networks are secure and easy to use for all users over many devices. We work primarily on Apple hardware across three office locations, with many remote workers. You would be required to set up, onboard users and maintain equipment across these locations, providing tools to protect, and audit our entire inventory at any point in time.
The TechOps team is responsible for ensuring applications are deployed seamlessly at any time with all the dependent services and configuration.
It is essential that those applications continue to run 24/7, detect errors and provide remediation when needed and with that in mind, we have compiled a list of essential skills required for this post.
We are really interested in speaking to candidates that are looking to develop their current skill set, so the ability to self-start and learn on the job is very important. The skills below aren't necessarily required, but would be very advantageous to your application.
Twenty-three days of holiday every year. An extra two days are awarded after you've been here for three years.
A flexible working policy covering flexible times and flexible locations.
Discretionary bonus plan, subject to company and individual performance.
The hiring process may change slightly depending on a number of factors. It is generally a multi step process as indicated.
If you pass one stage, you will proceed to the next. We try to give feedback to you if your application is not successful but this is not always possible.
The process is designed to give you maximum insight into what it is like to work here and also for us to assess your skills as quickly as possible.
