Essential

You are going to be maintaining a set of translations for our platform into a number of target languages. You should be at CEFR C1 in at least one, preferably two of the languages stated and fluent in English.

Part of your role will also to be to schedule and perform user testing with native speakers of various target languages, so it is important that you can organise yourself and others.

  1. Excellent communication & organisational skills
  2. Relevant MA / BA qualification
  3. German / Spanish / French / Italian / Russian or Nordic languages

Optional

As we are fundamentally a technology company it would be very helpful if you were engaged in modern technology and how it is shaping the language around modern communication.

We use the GetText Portable Object format and you will be using our system to manage the files so familiarity with this format would be great.

  1. Literate in modern communication methods
  2. Familiar with the GetText Portable Object (PO) file format

Salary

D.O.E

Salary is dependant on experience (D.O.E) and will be arranged on a case by case basis.

Holidays & Benefits

You'll get 23 days holiday plus bank holidays a year (pro-rata) . Once you have been here for three years, we'll give you an extra two days holiday allowance per year.

We keep a well-stocked fridge full of soft drinks, or if you prefer something more refined, we have delicious coffee beans and a great coffee machine. We engage in team activities once in a while, bringing everyone in the company together from all over the world.

Hiring Process

We split the hiring process into four distinct parts. If you pass one stage, you will proceed to the next. We try to give feedback to applicants if they are not successful but this is not always possible.

The process is designed to give you maximum insight into what it is like to work here and also for us to be able to assess your skills as quickly as possible.

There are components in this process that require you invest some of your own time away from the interview. We are more than happy to pay you at a rate of £12 per hour. The work you do is strictly scoped to the hiring process.

You complete a pre-interview task which we discuss in the interview
